I love this smoothie…it makes me come alive.  It really does.  That’s why it’s called Wake-up Berry Smoothie

This morning my Gorgeous Man and I got up waaaaay too early with waaaaay too little sleep.  Why?  Because the smallest member of our family enjoys fresh morning air and thinks we should enjoy it with him.

Lately, our little pug dog (Jaws) has decided that he needs to get up every morning the second the clock reads 4:35 AM.  Well, that might be sorta-okay with us, except that we had decided to cut down on coffee with the New Year.  Talk about bad timing!

So, this morning, I knew we needed to get “kick started” with a healthy blast of fresh, vibrant fruit.  Well, this smoothie did the trick.  Gluten and Dairy Free Wake-up Berry Smoothie is absolutely delicious and the vibrant color of the berries made us feel glad to be alive (really) even at 4:35 AM.

I hope you love this smoothie, too.  Happy Day!  I’m so glad you’re alive!  (And you’ll be glad you’re alive also; after just one sip of this beautiful drink ~ REALLY!)

Wake-up Berry Smoothie

1 1/2 cups fresh pineapple chunks
1 fresh orange, peeled
7 fresh strawberries (remove the green tops)
1 cup frozen blackberries (or Marionberries)
1 frozen banana, cut into slices

Put the pineapple, orange segments and strawberries in your blender; put the lid on and whirl around.  Add the frozen blackberries and frozen banana; blend until smooth.  If your blender is sluggish, you can add 1/4 cup of water or juice.  Ohhhhhh this is so yummy… You’re going to have a wonderful day; I just know it!

Lynn’s Notes: Wake-up Berry Smoothie is wonderful to sip as you make breakfast in the morning!  Check out ALL my recipes for pancakes and waffles.
But maybe right now… you just want to take a quick look at: Hazelnut Brunch Waffles or Pure Gold Pancakes or perhaps today is the day for Gimme Power Pancakes or more…
