Everyone loves Sweet Cinnamon Apple Slices because they are absolutely delicious. Secondly, they are guilt free. But best of all, they can be made at a moments notice.

Okay… let’s get right to the “recipe.” I use the word “recipe” lightly, because all you need are two ingredients: Fresh apples and ground cinnamon.
Sweet Cinnamon Apple Slices
Crunchy, spicy and naturally gluten and dairy-free, Sweet Cinnamon Apple Slices are the perfect guilt-free snack, appetizer or dessert anytime~day or night
1 crisp, juicy apple (preferably organic) ~ cored and sliced
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (See note below about Cinnamon)
Place apple slices in a medium size bowl. Add the cinnamon and toss with your hands, until the cinnamon completely and evenly coats each apple slice. Arrange the apple slices on a pretty plate. Serves 1-2 people – happily.
Lynn’s Notes for Success
- My favorite Cinnamon to use in this recipe is the exra fancy Vietnamese Cinnamon from Penzeys Spices. Vietnamese Cinnamon is stronger than most cinnamon varieties. It is rich and very sweet and will transform a regular apple; such as a Fuji, Braeburn, Gala, Honeycrisp or Cameo apple ~ into a treat that “POPS” with flavor!
- You might wonder if kids will like Vietnamese Cinnamon since it is quite bold in flavor. Well, let me tell you… my seven-year old grandson loves trying all the different cinnamon varieties I have in my cupboard (I currently have three different varieties of ground Cinnamon). We both agree that the Vietnamese Cinnamon is the clear winner in this particular recipe. In fact, my grandson always says, “More cinnamon, Gramma, I love it.” Ohhh… he is such a little gourmet!
